Got a bunch of broken crayons? Or just feel like making crayon stars? I made these for Zane because right now with him being so little these will be much easier for him to grab and color with.
I got this star mold from Joanne Fabrics in the cake decorating section. They also had hearts so we might be giving Zanes cousins crayon hearts for Valentines day ;) I don't know yet if it was necessary or not but I sprayed my mold with nonstick spray just in case lol. Then I took all our broken crayons and took off the paper from them, put them in the molds and melted them down at 250 degrees. After I took them out I put them in the freezer so they wouldn't break when I got them out and that seemed to work.
